Warwick's Lloyds has shut its doors for the final time.

Originally due to close in June, the branch's closure was delayed until this week to allow the new banking hub to open.

With the new facility now up and running, the bank on Swan Street shut on Tuesday 15 July.

Contractors have wasted no time in covering up the ATM and removing the signs.

Lloyds' Warwick branch was one of 45 to be axed across the country.

The company announced the decision last year saying most of its customers now use online banking.

"Before we close any branch, we look at how our customers are managing their money and using the branch," Lloyds said.

"Most customers are now using our Mobile Banking app, Internet Banking or calling us instead.

"This means they are using branches, including our Warwick branch much less.

"Because of this, we'll be closing our Warwick branch."

The company said transactions at the branch for personal customers are down 51 per cent compared to 2019 and down 55 per cent for businesses.
