Closure of Warwick's Lloyds bank branch delayed by few weeks

The Lloyds Bank branch in Warwick will stay open a little longer than expected, with its planned closure now postponed by several weeks.
Warwick's Lloyds was initially set to close yesterday (24 June) as part of a series of nationwide closures.
However, the closure has been pushed back to 15 July, with the date subject to change depending on the operation of Warwick's new banking hub.
Lloyds announced the decision last year, saying most of its customers now use online banking.
"Before we close any branch, we look at how our customers are managing their money and using the branch," Lloyds said.
"Most customers are now using our Mobile Banking app, Internet Banking or calling us instead.
"This means they are using branches, including our Warwick branch much less.
"Because of this, we'll be closing our Warwick branch."
Work to open a new banking hub in the town is ongoing, with the former Holland & Barrett store being converted into the facility.
Once the Swan Street bank shuts, the town's closest Lloyds will be in Leamington Spa.
The company said transactions at the branch for personal customers are down 51 per cent compared to 2019 and down 55 per cent for businesses.
Just 625 customers reportedly visit in person on a monthly basis.
