Warwick's Lloyds is set to close next summer, the bank has confirmed.

The Swan Street branch will shut on 24 June 2025, as the bank axes 45 sites nationwide.

The move will leave Warwick with just Coventry Building Society, come next summer.

"Before we close any branch, we look at how our customers are managing their money and using the branch," Lloyds said.

"Most customers are now using our Mobile Banking app, Internet Banking or calling us instead.

"This means they are using branches, including our Warwick branch much less.

"Because of this, we'll be closing our Warwick branch."

A banking hub is now proposed for the town.

Once the Swan Street bank shuts, the town's closest Lloyds will be in Leamington Spa.

The company said transactions at the branch for personal customers are down 51 per cent compared to 2019 and down 55 per cent for businesses.

Just 625 customers reportedly visit in person on a monthly basis
