Key Responsibilities:* Define, maintain, and govern the enterprise data architecture strategy aligned to the business and technology objectives.* Lead the design and evolution of data architecture supporting the transition to a Data Mesh approach.* Establish data architecture principles, standards, and best practices across the organization.* Provide architectural leadership for enterprise data platforms, analytics, and AI initiatives.* Ensure data solutions are scalable, secure, interoperable, and compliant with regulatory and governance requirements.* Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate business requirements into future-state data architecture designs.* Drive consistency across data domains, products, models, and integration patterns.* Support data governance initiatives, including data quality, metadata management, lineage, and master data management.* Review and approve architecture designs, ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture standards.* Act as a trusted advisor to leadership teams on data strategy, architecture, and technology decisions.* Identify opportunities to improve data accessibility, reusability, and business value across the enterprise.Key Skills & Experience:* Extensive experience as a Data Architect, Enterprise Data Architect, or Lead Data Architect within large-scale enterprise environments.* Strong understanding of modern data architecture principles, including Data Mesh, Data Fabric, and cloud-based data ecosystems.* Proven experience designing and governing enterprise-wide data platforms and data operating models.* Deep knowledge of data modelling, data integration, metadata management, and data governance practices.* Experience supporting regulatory and compliance requirements within complex organizations.* Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.* Experience working across data engineering, analytics, business intelligence, and AI functions.* Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: * Experience within regulated industries such as Energy, Utilities, Financial Services, or Telecommunications.* Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.* TOGAF, DAMA, or equivalent architecture and data management certifications.* Experience implementing Data Mesh principles and domain-oriented data ownership models.* Familiarity with data governance and enterprise architecture frameworks.This is an excellent opportunity on a great project of work, If you are looking for your next exciting opportunity, apply now for your CV to reach me directly, we will respond as soon as possible.
