Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.

Industrial Building Plans

Part of a Warwick industrial building could be demolished and rebuilt, if plans are signed off by Warwick District Council.

An application to remodel unit 5a at Budbrooke Industrial Estate has been submitted, including plans to demolish the single-storey rear part of the building.

If approved, this would then be replaced with a new single-storey extension.

B&B to Flats

District planners have signed off on a scheme to turn a Warwick bed and breakfast into residential flats.

Jersey Villa Guest House on Emscote Road and the neighbouring property can now be converted into six flats, after a planning application was signed off by Warwick District Council.

The application said small extensions will be made to both buildings to create two one-bed, two two-bed, a single three-bed and a single four-bed flats.

Traveller Site

A public inquiry into a traveller camp on the outskirts of Warwick has been cancelled, after an appeal against the council's enforcement notice was closed down.

Warwick District Council served an enforcement notice to stop work on the Henley Road site in May, after work to build a new campsite started over the bank holiday weekend.

This was followed up by a longer term stop notice to prevent any more construction.
