Warwick planning roundup: Bistro's sign, tattoo parlour and cricket nets

Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Cricket Nets
Plans to install new cricket nets at a Leek Wootton sports ground have been put forward to Warwick District Council.
If approved, the scheme will see the facilities at Leek Wootton War Memorial Recreation Ground on Quarry Close upgraded.
"The replacement of the existing cricket practice facility at Leek Wootton Cricket Club in line with the English Cricket board recommendations," the planning application said.
Tattoo Parlour
Plans for a new tattoo parlour in the centre of Warwick have been handed a planning boost.
The Inkwell Tattoo Co has been given planning permission to repaint a vacant unit on High Street by Warwick District Council.
Planning permission to convert the former restaurant into a tattoo parlour had already been signed off by the local authority.
Plans show the wooden shopfront will be painted black, with the name of the business simply painted on the front.
Bistro's Sign Refused
A new Warwick bistro which opened this spring has been told it cannot add another sign to the front of the building after being refused planning permission.
Rangoli on Castle Street had applied for planning permission for gold perspex lettering on the front of the grade II listed restaurant.
However, the application has been refused by Warwick District Council (WDC) which said the scheme would "result in harm to the listed building".
