New Indian bistro officially opens in Warwick

A new Indian bistro has opened in the centre of Warwick in the site of a former pub.
Rangoli threw open its doors on Castle Street on Thursday 17 April after weeks of work on site renovating the eatery.
The restaurant has taken over from The Guy of Warwick Pub and Kitchen which closed after just a few months having opened in March 2024.
"People should expect nice, warm service from our team and a nice warm, cosy setting," owner Nina Khunti told Nub News.
"Our restaurant is lovely and we want people to feel comfortable in a nice setting."

She continued: "Our food, we have selected dishes that we like ourselves and we cook at home ourselves.
"It is authentic but not your run of the mill list of curries and starters.
"We have researched a lot of these dishes. We have gone to great lengths to create our menu.
"It is Indian, there is no fusion, it is purely Indian food."

The menu, which is also available on the new website, also includes a range of small plates, offering the diners the chance to enjoy a "tapas style" meal.
And explaining the name 'Rangoli', Nina said: "Rangoli is an art form. The festival of Divali they make Rangoli patterns. It is a very old Indian art form.
"The idea is that food is art too.
"It is a combination of different things and it all marries up well together to create different dishes."

Following a successful launch last week, bookings can be made online, and Rangoli is also offering a discount launch offer during April.
Locals will also be able to discover the "extensive list" of over 30 global beers.
"We have chosen them to go well with spicy food," Nina continued.
"They are mostly Asian, although not all of them. They are very different and that is one of our USP's.
"We have got a wine list and have paired our dishes with the wines so we can give a recommendation."
