Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
McDonald's
A McDonald's in Warwick could soon be open 24/7 if plans are signed off by Warwick District Council.
When planning permission was granted for the fast food eatery on Emscote Road in 2019, opening times of 6am to 11pm were approved.
But now McDonald's wants to keep the store in the Tesco car park open 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
Little Design Merit
Council planners have signed off on plans to demolish a home described as of "little design merit" to make way for a new five-bed house.
J & C Developments (Midlands) Limited has been granted planning permission to flatten the 60-year-old home on Dugard Place in Barford by Warwick District Council.
The application said many of the neighbouring homes have already been modernised, with the house sitting on a "larger than average sized plot".
Paddling Pool Plans
Councillors look set to give the green light for a major project to replace the paddling pool in Warwick's St Nicholas Park.
Described as needing "substantial repair," plans to replace the pool and another at Victoria Park in Leamington Spa were backed by Warwick District Council's cabinet in February.
And now with funding secure, councillors will vote next week (September 4) whether to press ahead with the scheme.
