Here is a roundup of the biggest decisions that have been made by the local councils in the last month.

Warwick Town Council

Tickets are now on sale for the latest fundraising event for the Warwick Christmas Lights 2024.

The town council was forced to repair and repaint a number of planters in Warwick after being let down by its county colleagues.

Warwick District Council

Councillors have ordered finance staff to explain to the public why two years' worth of Warwick District Council accounts will not be fully audited.

Following complaints from residents and businesses, local estate agents are being reminded to make sure their display boards are used appropriately.

Warwick District Council is to "keep going with" No Mow May despite cross-party concerns being raised over its implementation.

Councillors have backed a new plan which predicts 1,679 new homes should be built every year to meet the future demand in South Warwickshire.

Gravestones at Leamington Spa Cemetery are now being repaired following an evening of vandalism in last month.

Locals are being given the opportunity to find out more about the ongoing works at one of Warwick's most important historic buildings.

Warwick District Council has appointed an external consultant to investigate its handling of a controversial planning appeal. 

Warwickshire County Council

The county council remains tight-lipped on the ongoing costs of the much-delayed A46 Stoneleigh junction scheme, which was due to be completed in the summer of 2022.

A post on X by the Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire has led to the remarkable discovery of a long-lost painting.

Construction work on footpaths along Harbury Lane between Earl Rivers Avenue and the B4087 Tachbrook Road/ Oakley Wood Road Junction has begun.
