Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.

Football For All

A local football club has been given permission to extend its clubhouse to provide more changing rooms.

The new facilities, at Ajax Park on Hampton Road, can now be built after planning permission was granted by Warwick District Council.

The application, submitted by Central Ajax Football Club, says the extension will provide changing rooms for junior and women's teams at the "growing" club.

Primary School Plans

An outline planning application for a new primary school in Warwick has been submitted to Warwickshire County Council's planning department.

If approved, the scheme will see a new two-form entry school and 34-place nursery built on land north of Fusiliers Way. 

The facility, which would be called 'Myton Gardens Primary School' is one of three new schools the council says are needed in the area.

Library Refurb

Warwick Library will be closing later this month for just under four weeks whilst it is refurbished.

The library is set for a new look that will provide an improved experience for customers and create a more flexible space to support activities and events for library users of all ages.

To enable the refurbishment work to take place the library will close at 5.30pm on Thursday 27 April and re-open on Tuesday 30 May.
