Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
A46 Costs
Costs for the already over-budget and much-delayed works around the A46 at Stoneleigh are expected to continue to rise.
Papers from Warwickshire County Council (WCC) have already revealed the project is estimated to cost at least £4,673,000 more than the £38 million originally expected, but it has now been revealed this is likely to rise as a completion date for the project remains unclear.
The local authority - which is currently cutting costs to plug a £27 million funding gap - has remained tight-lipped in the infrastructure scheme, which was due to be completed in August 2022.
McDonald's Doubles Down
The owner of a Warwick McDonald's has defended his decision to apply to stay open 24/7, following a flurry of objections from locals.
Neighbours have said the Emscote Road fast food outlet's application would "make the area more unsafe".
When planning permission was granted for the eatery at Tesco, opening times of 6am to 11pm were approved.
But now the business wants to keep the store open 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
Punch Bowl Pushed Back
Locals are to be kept waiting on controversial plans to turn a closed Warwick pub into a house.
A host of residents, and Warwick Town Council, have objected to the latest application to repurpose the Punch Bowl at The Butts from Secret Properties Ltd.
The application - the latest in a series for the former coaching inn - was due to be discussed by Warwick District Council's planning committee on Monday (October 7) but was withdrawn from the agenda on the day.
