Multiple objections have been made to plans to keep a McDonald's in Warwick open 24/7.
Neighbours have said the Emscote Road fast food outlet's application would "make the area more unsafe" and have a negative impact on locals.
When planning permission was granted for the eatery at Tesco, opening times of 6am to 11pm were approved.
But now McDonald's wants to keep the store open 24 hours per day, seven days a week.
"The proposed extension to the operating hours of the restaurant is not considered to result in any unacceptable impact on the existing levels of amenity," the application said.
"The site is located within a commercial area with the closest noise sensitive receptor located over 90m away, which is also separated by dense vegetation and the River Avon.
"In addition, Emscote Road, a major arterial route is located to the north east of the Site which provides a constant source of background noise.
"The road network experiences high levels of traffic volumes throughout the day and night.
"This constant activity contributes towards established background noise levels in the surrounding vicinity."
The application says the nearby Tesco petrol station is already open 24/7, so the eatery should be allowed to do likewise.
But already 25 members of the public have objected, as has Warwick Town Council.
Mrs G Williams wrote: "It could make the area more unsafe with more vehicles driving to and from the site, and they may speed when the roads are quieter which makes it unsafe for vulnerable road users.
"There could be more litter - litter gets dropped on Montague Road frequently.
"Local residents could feel more vulnerable if there are youth groups in the area and that could pose a risk of increased crime rate.
"Tesco shoppers/staff may feel more vulnerable if there are more people/groups gathering in the car park late at night."
Neil Buxton added: "To now agree to increased trading hours to 24 a day will have a detrimental impact on the residents of Emscote.
"Councillors will already be aware of antisocial behaviour on and around Emscote Road; these include litter, general rowdiness, drug dealing and speeding cars at night."
Meanwhile Warwick Town Council has placed a holding objection while it awaits a noise impact assessment to be completed.
Councillors have also asked whether the 24/7 opening times would only apply for the drive through, and whether there would be enough lighting in the area.
