Warwick planning roundup: A46 bridge progress, restaurant repairs and six-bedroom HMO

Here are three of the latest planning and development stories from around Warwick.
A46 Bridge Progress
New photographs have been released showing the latest progress on the delayed and over-budget A46 Stoneleigh Junction project.
Warwickshire County Council says recent wet weather has not slowed work on the scheme, which has been beset by delays and problems with materials needed to support the bridge's wingwalls.
The project is now expected to be completed in summer 2027, five years later than originally planned, and is set to cost £80 million – more than £40 million above its original budget.
Repairs at Historic Restaurant
A historic Warwick restaurant could undergo a series of urgent repairs after problems caused by water damage, weathering and age-related decay.
Pizza Express has applied to carry out work at its Grade II listed premises on Jury Street, including repairs to the roof, chimney stacks, windows and masonry.
The plans also include fixing water damage upstairs and repainting parts of the exterior. The restaurant has occupied the building since 1998.
Six-bedroom HMO
A four-bedroom house on Emscote Road is set to be converted into a six-bedroom house in multiple occupation (HMO) after receiving approval from Warwick District Council.
The application was submitted by JR Gill Investment Ltd and was approved under a lawful development certificate, meaning a full planning application was not required.
Plans show two bedrooms and a kitchen-diner on the ground floor, with the remaining bedrooms on the first floor. The second floor will remain as office and storage space.
