Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.

New Park Progress

Work to create a new public park which will link the Leamington Spa and Warwick is now underway. 

Elizabeth Park is being developed through a partnership between Warwick District Council and Homes England. 

The district's newest green space will stretch along the riverside from Princes Drive and will encompass the area currently occupied by the Edmondscote Athletics Track.

Housing Scheme Revealed

Plans for 20 new homes have been revealed in Warwick. 

The planning application submitted by Sunkari Ltd proposes the development of 20 one-bedroom apartments.

The site, located on Nelson Lane in Warwick, is within good access to public transport, local centres, schools, and supermarkets.

Gym's Next Steps

A Warwick gym which opened without the proper planning permission has launched a fresh bid to the council.

Foundry Gym has submitted a new planning application to Warwick District Council (WDC) asking for temporary permission to use Horizon House as a gym.

A previous submission to the local council claimed the chain was "misadvised" by a property agent which said it had the proper permission to open.
