Warwickshire County Council

A new facility designed to provide realistic training environments for Warwickshire's firefighters has officially opened in Rugby.

Work is well underway to pedestrianise a closed section of a Kenilworth town centre road.

An extra £16 million has been set aside for an already over-budget and much-delayed project to build a new bridge and roundabout at the A46 Stoneleigh junction - and that figure could rise yet further.

The ongoing delays and spiralling costs behind the A46 Stoneleigh Junction redevelopment are a "huge embarrassment" for the county council and its "financial incompetence" - councillors have said.

The leader of Warwickshire County Council expects to find out on Monday whether plans to create one new unitary council will be fast-tracked.

An 'impressive' 91-metre retaining wall has been installed as part of a major roadworks scheme around Warwick and Leamington Spa.

A petition has been launched to get a new bus shelter at a "popular stop" in Warwick.
