Police have been searching an area of Coventry over the weekend as the search for a missing Warwick man continues nearly two years after he was last seen.

Warwickshire Police is continuing to search for Stefan Watkins – known as Lee or LeeLee – who was last seen on 6 May 2023 when he left his home.

Enquiries established there was a potential sighting of him at around 1.30am on Sunday 7 May 2023 at the junction of Vauxhall Street and Berry Street in Hillfields, Coventry. This area has been the focus for search teams over the weekend.

Detective Inspector Gareth Unett from Warwickshire Police Major Investigation Unit said: "We continue to work to find Stefan and remain open minded as to what may have happened to him.

"Unfortunately, our main line of enquiry is that he may have come to harm and we'd welcome any information that might help us locate him and bring some closure for his family and friends."

A woman was previously arrested on suspicion of murder as part of the investigation, but was released with no further action.

Mr Watkins is described as white, around 6ft tall, with blue eyes and very short hair. He has connections to Coventry and parts of south Warwickshire.
