A petition has been launched to get a new bus shelter at a "popular stop" in Warwick.

Submitted by Cllr Simon Pargeter, the petition is calling on Warwickshire County Council to build a cover at Reardon Court in the Woodloes area of town.

"This stop is very popular, as it serves local shops and a busy residential area," the petition said.

"Passengers, including the elderly and families with children, have to stand in the rain and other adverse weather conditions while waiting for a bus to arrive, as there is currently no shelter.

"The opposite side of the road has a shelter, and a new one is being installed at Spinny Hill.

"Given the high volume of passengers at Reardon Court, it is only fair that this stop also has a shelter for the comfort and safety of all those waiting."

Locals have until February 24 to back to calls.
