Here is a roundup of the biggest decisions that have been made by the local councils in the last month.

And for more local planning decisions, keep an eye out for our weekly updates published every weekend.

Warwick Town Council

Making Warwick an even better place to live, work and visit is top of the list for its brand new town centre manager.

A huge number of businesses in and around Warwick have given generously to help support this year's Christmas lights.

Warwick is being celebrated as the perfect place to grow a small business after two founders who started as market traders chose the town as the place for their permanent home.

Warwick District Council

The councillor in charge of planning at Warwick District Council insists little could have been done to prevent its "vulnerable" position on housing.

Drivers have had to fork out £150,000 in parking fines from local car parks across Warwick district so far this year, a freedom of information request has revealed.

The lack of a plan behind Warwick District Council increasing parking charges has been criticised by its former leader.

Local residents are being invited to give their views on plans to create a new "traffic free link" between the Myton Road in Warwick and Fusiliers Way as part of an "ambitious scheme" to provide new facilities to serve the area's growing communities.

"Serious" and "long-standing" issues have been identified in the district council's handling of its social housing stock by a government watchdog.

Children with additional needs or who are pre-verbal are reaping the benefits of new communication boards, which have recently been installed into the play areas of the district's parks.

A dedicated fly-tipping collection and enforcement team has collected over 70 tonnes of fly-tipped waste since it began operating in June this year.

Warwickshire County Council

Top councillors have signed off £3.7 million for works around the Gallows Hill roundabout between Warwick and Leamington.

The county councillor who oversees education in Warwickshire has vowed to increase the pressure on schools that are slow to support SEND children.

Costs for the already over-budget and much-delayed works around the A46 at Stoneleigh are expected to continue to rise. And the project could cause delays to HS2's closure of the dual carriageway next year.

NHS waiting lists were cited as long-term sickness continues to drive up staff absence rates at Warwickshire County Council.

Night closures have been announced for the Birmingham Road in Hatton as council contractors continue with works in the village centre.

Local MP Matt Western has called for better pedestrian and cycle access to the new Oakley School after a child was hit by a car earlier this month.
