Here is a roundup of the biggest decisions that have been made by the local councils in the last month.

Warwick District Council

A councillor who changed political parties mid-term has no intention to call a by-election despite her former leader arguing she should go back to the public. 

A planning application for a new "modern and interesting" community centre in Warwick has been submitted to the district council.

District councillor Richard Dickson has continued to call for answers over the delays and growing costs to the county council's A46 Stoneleigh Island project.

Warwickshire County Council

Work has now begun on the new two form entry Myton Gardens School in Warwick.

Warwickshire County Council is to consider whether it can provide space for a new banking hub in Warwick with another branch closure on the cards. 

The government has indicated it will move forward with a devolution deal for Warwickshire.

The leader of Warwickshire County Council hopes scope for more independent decision making can help address financial challenges.

A Warwickshire councillor who outraged families with comments on SEND provision this month returned to the panel he had been removed from – with his leader's blessing.

Cabinet members have backed spending £13,864,000 on a major project to bring more electric buses to Warwickshire.

Severn Trent has said it is pressing ahead with work on site on Priory Mews as works to knock down a number of houses continue.
