Warwick Castle has been named the best castle in the UK by travel platform Tripadvisor.

The historic attraction topped the platform's 'Traveller Favourites' for 2026, recognising it as one of the country's most popular destinations among visitors.

In response, local MP Matt Western shared a post on Facebook, commenting: "You may recall I suggested in Parliament to the then PM (Johnson) that he visit, but I don't think he ever took up the offer."

Warwick Castle remains one of the Midlands' biggest tourist attractions, drawing visitors year-round for its medieval history, live shows and family events.

It was also recently featured in an ITV documentary, A Warwick Castle Christmas, which aired in December last year (2025).

The episode provided a behind-the-scenes look at how the castle comes to life at Christmas, with scenes of staff preparing for its events, including the popular light trail.
