1. Dragon Boat Race

The Warwick Dragon Boat Race is taking place on 21 September, on the River Avon at St Nicholas Park.

The event will run from 8am to 3pm.

Attendance is free, but there is an entry fee to participate in the race.

Organisers said: "Come and enjoy the thrills and hopefully not too many spills, of the Warwick Dragon Boat race." 

The event is presented by The Rotary Club of Warwick Avon, in conjunction with Warwick Boats.

The Rotary Club of Warwick Avon will be supporting both Myton Hospice's and Birmingham Children`s Hospital at the race.

2. Oktoberfest 

Celebrate Oktoberfest with Windmill Hill Taproom this weekend (20 September).

The event will take place from 6pm to 11pm with doors open from 5.30pm at Unit 14, Neilston Street in Leamington Spa. 

Organisers said: "Join us at the Windmill Hill Brewery and Taproom for a fun-filled celebration of all things Oktoberfest."

"Get ready for delicious weissbier on draft, German bratwurst & currywurst, live Bavarian Oompah music, and plenty of good times to dress up with friends. Prost!"

3. Markets

And of course, this Saturday is Warwick Market in Market Square.

The weekly market runs in the centre of town every weekend from 9am to 3pm.

Organisers said: "Warwick Market is a great opportunity to shop in a vibrant open-air setting, surrounded by many independent shops and cafes. On our Market, you will find variety and value, sold by new and experienced traders.

"You'll find stalls selling everything from fresh fruit and vegetables, plants and cut flowers, to fresh baking, fish and clothing, to gifts, and food specialities."
