Voters in Warwick will go to the polls again this week to vote in two new councillors across two by-elections.
Both votes come following the resignation of Raj Kang last year for "personal reasons".
His stepping down has left vacancies at both Warwick District Council (WDC) and Warwick Town Council (WTC), in the Warwick All Saints & Woodloes wards at both levels.
Locals will vote in new representatives on Thursday (January 18) with the results expected to be announced that evening.
The candidates for Warwick All Saints and Woodloes at WDC are:
- Laurence Byrne (Liberal Democrats)
- Jody Tracey (Conservative)
- Claire Wightman (Labour)
The candidates for WTC are:
- Laurence Byrne (Liberal Democrats)
- Moira-Ann Granger (Conservatives)
- Sam Jones (Green)
- Cora-Laine Moynihan (Labour)
Mr Kang was a Labour councillor, and before his resignation the group held 11 seats at the town council - having taken huge gains during last May's elections.
Labour is also the second largest group on the district council, holding 11 seats (before his resignation) and currently in a joint leadership group with the Greens.
Mr Kang was first elected as a Labour representative to the district authority in May, as the group took all three seats from the Conservatives in the All Saints & Woodloes ward.
Voting hours on Thursday are between 7am and 10pm.
Voters will need to show ID in order to vote - having done so for the first time at last May's elections.
Polling stations are:
- The Gap, Oakwood Grove
- All Saints Church Hall, Vicarage Field
- Warwickspace, Coten End
- Woodloes Primary School, Deansway
- Woodloes Community Centre, Deansway
- Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Saltisford
