Labour has taken control of Warwick Town Council as the Conservatives lost 11 seats.

Prior to today (May 5) the Tories had all but three seats on the town council, but finished the count at NAEC Stoneleigh with just one.

Oliver Jacques remains the only blue councillor on the council, retaining his seat in All Saints & Woodloes.

Labour finished the day with 11 of the 15 seats, having only held two previously.

Meanwhile the Greens - who had no seats before today - had three councillors voted in.

All three Green councillors were elected in Myton & Heathcote.

And while Labour Leader at Warwick District Council Mini Mangat failed to be re-elected at WDC, she has gained election to the town council.
