Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
New Industrial Estate
Controversial plans for a major new industrial development in Warwick look set to be given the green light, despite the objections of locals.
If approved, the application from Midlands Land Portfolio Ltd could see 8.8 hectares of land to the south of Stratford Road be converted for commercial use.
While this application is only at the outline stage, plans state it is likely three major warehouses and 391 car parking spaces would be built.

Warwick Hospital
Warwick Hospital's main entrance is set to move next week as works to modernise the site continue.
South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT) was given permission to knock down the existing entrance and replace it with a three-storey "state-of-the-art" extension.
The scheme forms phase one of the trust's masterplan to improve facilities at the 474-bed hospital.

Eleven Months of Delays
The cost of highway works to unlock a 150-house development in Hatton has more than trebled inside four years.
Warwickshire County Council this week approved increasing the budget of an improvement scheme on the A4177 Birmingham Road, Hatton, from the original £600,000, which included "fees and works", to £2.2 million – a jump of £1.6 million.
All of the cost will be covered by the developer Taylor Wimpey with the caveat that work will only get underway once a bond has been paid to the council.
