Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.

Battle for Hatton

Local roads cannot cope, productive farmland will be lost, the village will become a rat-run, Warwick Hospital will not be able to take on more patients and the local ecosystem would become "fragmented".

Those are all views from Hatton residents on plans to build thousands of new houses around the village - according to a major new document published by Warwick and Stratford-on-Avon District Councils.

The local authorities have published the feedback from the most recent public consultation into the South Warwickshire Local Plan (SWLP) which will ultimately decide where tens of thousands of new homes are built across the two areas.

Primary School Plans

Plans for a small extension at a Warwick primary school have been revealed.

Stowe Valley Academy Trust has submitted plans for the extra space at Coten End Primary School.

If approved, the extension would be built on the end of the existing sports hall to provide a storage room covering 30 square metres.

Business Boost

A construction partner has been appointed to deliver a new business park between Leamington and Warwick.

Warwickshire Property & Development Group (WPDG) has partnered with Birmingham-based E Manton Limited to build the new 28,000 sq ft commercial scheme on Fusiliers Way.

Greville Business Park will see the creation of 11 high-quality commercial units ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 sq ft.
