Warwick planning roundup: Myton Road, A46 and fibre rollout
Here are the biggest local planning stories from the past week.
Myton Road Progress
More details of the planned footpath along a busy Warwick road have been revealed.
A full planning application for the scheme - which will connect Fusiliers Way and Myton Road - is expected in the coming weeks.
But outline plans put together by Warwick District Council have now shown the path near Myton School will ultimately be 850 metres long and five metres wide.
A46 Closure Nears
The three-week closure of the A46 for a new HS2 to be moved into place is likely to take place in May, a Kenilworth Town Council report has said.
However, the final date of the works will not be confirmed until after the two weekend closures of the dual carriageway this February.
The A46 will be shut between Coventry and Thickthorn on the weekends of February 7-9 and February 14-17 for preparatory works.
Full Fibre
Engineers have been on site in the centre of Warwick this January as part of works to roll out full fibre broadband in the town get underway.
CityFibre had closed off a large amount of the pavement around Market Place as teams work on the rollout.
Works, which started on January 13, lasted until Friday (January 24).
