Engineers are on site in the centre of Warwick this January as part of works to roll out full fibre broadband in the town get underway.

CityFibre had closed off a large amount of the pavement around Market Place as teams work on the rollout.

Works, which started on January 13, are expected to last until Friday (January 24).

Steph Carter-Smith, partnership manager at CityFibre told Nub News: "We are currently carrying out works at Market Place as part of our ongoing commercial rollout to deliver full fibre broadband to residents across Warwickshire.

"Letters have been provided to inform any residents affected by the works, and we're committed to keeping disruption to a minimum while bringing faster, more reliable connectivity to the area."

CityFibre did not say how many properties would benefit from the fibre broadband rollout.

Roads around Market Place remain open but motorists have been warned there may be "some carriageway incursion".
