Warwick planning roundup: Dog walking, 67 homes and funeral directors
Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
Dog Walking
Plans to turn a farmer's field next to a major new housing development into a dedicated dog walking space have been put forward to Warwick District Council.
James Mahon & Sons Ltd has submitted a planning application to create a dog walking field on a two acres patch of land at the corner of Flat Rabbit Road and Banbury Road.
If approved, the new venture will replace a piece of land used to graze sheep, next to the new Asps housing development.

67 Homes Approved
Residents who will move into a 67-house development which will now been built in Warwick will not need to open their windows to enjoy "year-round comfort".
That is according to a representative of developer Taylor Wimpey who spoke at last week's Warwick District Council (WDC) planning committee meeting in support of plans to develop the land off Goggbridge Lane.
The developer had previously had an application to build on the land - which was earmarked for employment - rejected, with councillors raising issues around noise, air pollution, flood risk and a local of open space.

Funeral Directors
A bid to turn a former funeral directors in Warwick into a two-bed house has been thrown out by district planners.
The St John's unit has reportedly been empty since 2018, and was given permission to be turned into a salon in 2021 but the scheme never went ahead.
And now Warwick District Council (WDC) has refused to grant planning permission for it to be turned into a home, despite the application saying there is no viable commercial future for a business there.
