Warwick planning roundup: Country park, brook bridge and St John's improvements
Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
Country Park
Plans for the 121-acre Tachbrook Country Park have been given the green light by Warwick District Council's planning committee.
A decision on the substantial new public open space south of Warwick and Leamington Spa had been delayed, much to the frustration of locals and councillors.
But following a decision this week the council's project team can now complete the necessary land transfers and sign contractors with developers to start creating the park.

Gog Brook Bridge
A new bridge over Gog Brook in Warwick is now open, making it easier for local children to walk to school.
Built by Warwickshire County Council, the bridge has been in the works for over two years having been requested by Cllr John Holland.
The structure, which will benefit pupils attending Aylesford School and Newburgh Primary School, replaces the need for children having to use a small and "treacherous" cut through path.

Junction Consultation
Warwick residents are being given the chance to have their say on planned improvements to St John's Junction.
Warwickshire County Council is working on changes to the junction that will improve cycling and walking access to the town centre.
The council recently approved a further £200,000 in funding towards building a new cycle lane from the Spinney Hill roundabout to the centre of town.
As part of the St John's scheme, the council says it wants to "improve the look and feel of this key gateway to the town" and make it easier and safer for people to move around on foot or bicycle.
