Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
Care Home Blocked
Warwick District Council has refused to grant permission for a 75-bed care home to be built near Hatton.
Solihull-based care providers Belmont Healthcare had submitted an application for 'Hatton Park Care Home' which included a public footpath to the Grand Union Canal.
But planners refused to grant permission saying it was inappropriate development in the Green Belt.

Canalide Moorings
Councillors have imposed a number of conditions on 20 canalside moorings to be built near the Black Boy pub.
Warwick District Council members said the landowner would not be allowed to install lights or let people stay in their narrowboats overnight whilst demanding that he clear the mounds of earth on the site.
Speaking at last week's planning meeting the applicant Mr Edward Flaherty said: "The site is disgusting and I am so ashamed."
----------
St Nicholas Park Cycling
Warwickshire County Council has announced major improvements for the cycle paths through St Nicholas Park.
Works are expected to be completed by the end of May and will be carried out in two stages.
The council said this was part of its "ongoing commitment to meet climate change and carbon footprint reductions".
----------
Tesco Tree Chopping
A number of trees in car park of the Emscote Road Tesco will be chopped down after WDC decided not to impose a tree protection order.
Tesco said the works were routine and for public safety.
All 63 trees on site were surveyed and 11 are set to be felled.
