Here is a roundup of the biggest decisions that have been made by the three local councils in the last month.
And for more local planning decisions, keep an eye out for our weekly updates published every weekend.
Warwick Town Council
Following on from a series of events and celebrations in June for the Platinum Jubilee, the town council has spent much of July preparing for the Commonwealth Games.
The council has released full details of road closures needed to remove street furniture for the cycling road race.
While the Queen's Baton Relay made a brief stop in the grounds of Warwick Castle for an invite-only event.
And July has seen the return of Warwick in Bloom with entries closing today (July 31).
Winners have also been announced for the annual allotment competition.
Warwick District Council
Throughout July the district council has been focusing on the new bin collections which will start on August 1.
While advice has been given on what to do with the old red bins, the council has revealed that it is running behind on delivering new food caddies and blue-lidded bins.
The announcement came just days after council leader Cllr Andrew Day said he was focusing on local issues rather than the Conservative leadership race.
At last week's full council meeting councillors raised concerns about waiting times for social housing, as well as planning enforcement.
And councillors have revealed plans which could see £150,000 spent on a new footpath to Myton School.
Warwickshire County Council
With the hot weather this July seeing more people visit country parks, the county council has asked residents to be more considerate at Burton Dassett Hills after a number of sheep have been hit and killed by cars.
The council has also approved its new minerals plan which includes provision for a number of new quarries in the county. But this has been received badly by residents of Barford and MP for Warwick and Leamington Matt Western who said councillors should "hang their heads in shame".
Concerns have also been raised about the rising costs of the delayed Oakley Grove School. It has also been revealed that the school will be part of an award-winning multi academy trust.
And the heatwave also saw the county's gritters used to help stop local roads from melting.
