Warwick Market to go ahead as anti-migrant protests coming to town
By James Smith 3rd Feb 2026
Warwick Market will go ahead this Saturday (February 7) despite protests being planned for the town.
Operator CJ's Events Warwickshire said the Market Place market will still take place following reassurances from Warwickshire Police and Warwick Town Council.
Patriotic Alternative is organising the protest "against mass immigration and the housing of migrants in hotels" which will start at 12pm outside Shire Hall.
Counter protestors are also planning to demonstrate in Warwick.
Ahead of Saturday, CJ's took to social media to say: "We can confirm that Warwick Market will be going ahead this Saturday as planned.
"The safety of our traders and visitors remains our top priority.
"We are working closely with Warwickshire Police and Warwick District Council, who have confirmed a robust policing plan will be in place to ensure the safety of all attendees and the wider public.
"These are due to be peaceful and law-abiding protests.
"At this time, no authority has issued guidance or advice to cancel the market. Traders who do not wish to attend have been given the option to receive their paid fees as credit for a future market."
CJ's says it will continue to monitor the situation and liaise with the local authorities.
