A Warwickshire-based independent financial firm is set to make a splash in Warwick as the town's annual Dragon Boat Race returns.

Members of the Simpson Financial Services (SFS) team Splash 'n' Cash, are preparing to take on the challenge, which is hosted by the Rotary Club of Warwick Avon.

The event will take place at St Nicholas Park in Warwick from 10am on Saturday 19 September.

This year, SFS is raising money for two charities, The Myton Hospices and Birmingham Children's Hospital and Charity.

The team shared: "We'd love your support. Every donation, big or small, will help us make a difference and get us one step closer to our fundraising goal.

"Raising £56 could pay for two hours of specialist nursing care.

"Raising £90 could fund three children's counselling sessions.

"Raising £112 could cover the cost of a patient's meal for one week.

"So it's safe to say that each and every donation makes a difference."
