KFC applies to stay open until early hours

The KFC at Leamington Shopping Park has applied for permission to stay open until the early hours of the morning.
The drive thru eatery opened alongside Five Guys last year after months of work on site at the former Frankie and Benny's at Tachbrook Park Drive.
Currently KFC opens from 11am to 10pm seven days a week, with the drive thru open for an extra hour each day.
But now the fast food restaurant has applied to Warwick District Council for permission to stay open until 2am.
The application said the business would be "displaying sign to leave quietly and respect neighbours, manage deliveries and waste collections to minimize disturbances, ensuring customers do not congregate outside the premises late at night".
It also said: "Comprehensive recorded CCTV system , all staff undertake KFC's internal late-night licensing and operational training programmes, and regular litter-picking measures will be implemented to minimize any impact on the local environment."
Locals have until 29 July to comment on the application.
