Three new padel courts could be installed at a Leek Wootton hotel, if plans are signed off by Warwick District Council.

The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club has applied to build the courts on a patch of grass next to the hotel building.

Plans show the Warwick Road hotel would have three, 20 metre by 10 metre courts installed.

Lights and a fabric canopy would also be installed.

The application explained: "The Club Company operate 18 country club sites across the UK, including The Warwickshire Golf & Country Club, and have identified an increased demand for padel which is continuing to grow in popularity.

"As a result, The Warwickshire Golf & Country Club requires new padel courts to keep up with the increasing general demand, to compete with similar facilities in the area, and to attract visitors from outside the region to the area with the associated benefits to the local economy."
