Warwick's new Co-op and coffee shop has officially opened today (August 21).

The Market Place business opened its doors for the first time at 10am this morning.

The Co-op store - which replaces The Original Factory Shop - has opened with a Bewiched coffee shop inside.

Bewiched - which has sites in Heathcote and Leamington Spa town centre - already has a coffee shop at the Co-op in Balsall Common.

Today's opening has been celebrated by Warwick Town Council.

"We're delighted to see Heart of England Co-operative Convenience Store open its doors at 40 Market Place this morning, with the new store welcoming customers from 10am today," the council said.

"The arrival of Co-op is fantastic news for Warwick and our community, bringing greater choice and convenience right into the heart of the town centre.

"It also brings a previously vacant unit back into active use, helping to strengthen our town centre, encourage footfall and support the wider businesses in the town.

The Original Factory Shop closed in mid-March.
