Warwick tree to be felled in 'essential' safety works

A tree is set to be felled in a Warwick park today (August 21).
Warwick District Council has said the "essential" works are for a beech tree in Priory Park.
It comes after a branch fell from the tree on Thursday.
"Forestry have advised that urgent work is needed to make the tree safe," a council statement said.
"The tree will be felled today, with the remaining material being removed next week.
"Thank you for your patience while these essential safety works are carried out."
