Residents will be able to taste and purchase varieties of applies that are not normally available in supermarkets at an event at Hill Close Gardens this weekend.

Apple Day will return to the Victorian gardens on Sunday, October 9.

A range of craft stalls will be available on the day as residents can see more than 60 different varieties of heritage apples in the gardens' orchard.

The Mid Shires Orchard Group will also be there on the day putting their apple press to use.

Running from 11am, entry costs £5 for adults.
