A 14-year-old boy has been charged in connection with a series of burglaries in Warwick at the weekend.

The teenager, who is from Warwick and can't be named for legal reasons, was charged with two counts of burglary dwelling and theft, theft and theft of a motor vehicle.

It follows reports of a series of burglaries across Warwick on Saturday (24 January).

The offences occurred in areas around the racecourse, Heathcote and Emscote Road in the town.

The boy is set to appear at Coventry Youth Court today (26 January).
