Matt Western takes resounding election victory as Labour hold Warwick and Leamington

Matt Western has won an emphatic third straight election to retain the seat of Warwick and Leamington.

The Labour candidate absolutely blew away the rest of the competition, taking his majority from the near 800 won in 2019 to around 12,000 votes.

Conservative candidate James Uffindell came second locally, taking 11,563.

Meanwhile Reform UK's Nigel Clarke took 5,154.

Warwick and Leamington results in full:

  • Matt Western (Labour) - 23,975
  • James Uffindell (Conservatives) - 11,563
  • Nigel Clarke (Reform UK) - 5,154
  • Hema YellaPragada (Green) - 4,471
  • Louis Adam (Liberal Democrats) - 3,881
  • Laurie Steele (UKIP) - 154

The turnout was 66.11 per cent.

There were 245 spoilt ballot papers.
