Thursday 9 April
Record-breaking endurance adventurer, Louis Alexander is giving a free talk at Oakley Grange care home in Warwick on Thursday 9 April from 6.30pm-8pm, which members of the local community, residents, their families and friends are all welcome to attend.
At 26 years old, Louis is the first and only person in history to complete marathons across all seven continents and swim marathon-distances in all seven seas. During his talk, he will share his experiences about his adventures, as well as what motivated him to take on these remarkable challenges. Guests will also gain an insight into the physical and mental demands behind Louis' incredible feats, from the toughest moments to the mindset that kept him moving forward.
Louis is a dementia champion and is on a mission to raise a total of £1million for dementia research over the next five years in memory of his grandfather, a former Captain in the British Army who lived with dementia for 17 years. He is also an Ambassador for Cinnamon Care Collection, an award-winning care home group which owns and operates 23 care homes in the UK, including Oakley Grange.
Louis' resilience and determination is an inspiration to people of all ages and to fundraisers globally. The talk offers people in Eastleigh and the surrounding areas a rare opportunity to meet one of Britain's most inspiring young adventurers.
