Construction work has begun on a 30,000 sq ft unit at Warwick's Tournament Fields Business Park.

Owned by Clowes Developments, plot 1003 will be developed by contractor Benniman.

The warehouse and distribution facility will be built next to the European headquarters of Gallagher, a New Zealand-based, global company operating across 160 countries worldwide.

The unit is expected to be completed by November 2022 but Clowes hope to have an occupier in place before construction is completed.

"The park benefits from direct access to the Midlands motorway network and excellent transport links to Warwick and the surrounding areas, which makes efficient business logistics a seamless process," said developer Paul Shanley.

"As experienced national developers, we have an eye for identifying strategically located business parks opportunities, which tick the boxes for our target market.

"We are confident of securing an occupier for plot 1003 in advance of construction works being completed - watch this space."

The 1.7 acre plot will also include generous parking provision including electric vehicle charging points.

Tournament Fields is also home to Semcon, Eagle Burgmann, Geberit, GFA, and Scholastic.

And 3P Innovations, an engineering and process automation company, have also instructed Clowes Developments to build a second building om the land next to their current headquarters.

Whilst the last plot, the four-acre Plot 1001, will soon be in for planning for a 70,000 sq ft unit which will be built on an all-enquiries basis.
