Here are our top picks for things to do in and around Warwick weekend:
1. Town Criers Competition 2026
The annual Town Criers Competition 2026 is coming to Warwick this Saturday (23 May).
First held in 1995, the event has become an iconic part of the town's calendar, and is organised by Warwick Court Leet.
This year's competition will take place on 23 May at 2pm at the Pageant Gardens.
Attendees can enjoy an afternoon of tradition, colour and powerful proclamations as Town Criers from across the country compete in the heart of Warwick.
Over the next few days Warwick Town Council will also be launching a Junior Town Crier Competition.
The final three young finalists will have the opportunity to perform their own cry on the day, dressed in their very own Town Crier attire, with the chance to win a very special prize!

2. Bear Trail
A 'paw-some adventure' is in store for families visiting Warwick town centre this May, thanks to a brand new Bear Trail.
Warwick Town Council is launching the Eco Bear Trail for May half-term as the perfect entertainment for children of all ages, plus a chance to highlight the importance of recycling, reducing waste and caring for the environment.
The Eco Bear Trail, which launches on the weekend of 23 May, will run for four weeks and could possibly be extended if it proves popular.
The trail will feature six bears, sculpted by local artist Suw Mitchell, with four designed by local schools as part of a 'Bottles to Bears' project. Each will be around 4ft tall and all will be made from recycled bottles collected from the Pageant Gardens fish sculpture - launched last year as part of Great Big Green Week and named Fin Diesel following a town-wide competition.
Trail maps will be available from the Visitor Information Centre, where a display will complement the trail, including bottles for people to touch and information on climate change.

3. Comedy at the Castle is back
The UK's fastest-growing outdoor stand-up comedy festival has revealed an all-star line-up, including Ed Byrne, Chris McCausland, Russell Kane, and Joanne McNally, for its fourth year at Warwick Castle.
Comedy at the Castle will transform the medieval castle grounds with household names and emerging talent from the world of comedy plus an exclusive food and drink offering on Friday 22, Saturday 23, and Sunday 24 May.
Combining evenings of live performances from some of the funniest names in British and Irish comedy with award-winning street food traders; cocktail, craft ale and fizz bars, and top-class live production, Comedy at the Castle has won over legions of laughter aficionados in just a short time.
Organised by established promoters Closeup Comedy and street food experts Digbeth Dining Club, the three-day independently-run festival will see 30 comedians specialising in one-liners, observational, satirical, and surreal comedy take to stages across three stunning UK sites.
