Warwickshire Police officer to face sexual assault charge following incident while on duty

A serving Warwickshire Police officer is set to appear in court to face a charge of sexual assault following an alleged incident while they were on duty.

The unnamed officer has been postally requisitioned to appear at Warwickshire Magistrates' Court on Friday (19 January).

The alleged incident occurred in May 2023 while the officer was on duty.

The officer is currently suspended from duty pending the outcome of the case.
