Warwick's Market Hall Museum has applied for permission to keep its outside seating for another 12 months.

The Market Place tourist attraction has submitted an application to Warwick District Council for a new pavement licence.

If approved, the application will allow the museum to keep its six tables and 16 chair in place.

The application says this will have no impact on the rest of the street as it is pedestrianised.

It also says the tables would be in use from 9am to 5pm Tuesday to Sunday.

New laws on pavement licences were brought into effect in the summer of 2020 to make it easier for businesses to apply for permission to put furniture outside during the pandemic.

Residents can have their say on the application, here.

Market Hall Museum recently announced that Warwick Boats and the Leam Boat Centre are headline sponsors of an upcoming exhibition about the history of Warwickshire's rivers, canals and waterways.

The exhibition, located on the ground floor of the museum opens on Friday 22 March 2024, World Water Day, and will run until 18 January 2025.
