A Warwick café has applied for permission to keep its outside seating.

The Tuckery at Market Place wants to set up eight tables and 16 chairs, an application for a pavement licence to Warwick District Council shows.

If approved, the permission will allow the town centre venue to use the seating from 8.30am to 5pm seven days per week.

If approved, the café would be allowed to keep the chairs and tables for 12 months.

New laws on pavement licences were brought into effect in the summer of 2020 to make it easier for businesses to apply for permission to put furniture outside during the pandemic.

Warwick café Pastelaria Portuguesa recently had its application for a pavement licence approved by the local authority, as did the Railway Inn.
