A weekend parade is coming to Warwick this weekend, to mark the town's first anniversary with one of its friendship towns.
The parade will take place on Saturday 9 May from 11am, in celebration of the town's first anniversary of its friendship with Hérouville Saint-Clair in France.
Warwick Twinning Association shared: "We are delighted that Hérouville Saint-Clair (officiel) are visiting #warwick to celebrate with music the first anniversary of becoming a friendship town."
"Please come and support. We became a friendship town because our Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Museum (Royal Warwickshire) fought in the Battle of Lebisey Wood outside Caen, Normandy on June 7th 1944 and great losses were taken."
The event will see the Mayor of Hérouville Saint-Clair, Rodolphe Thomas in attendance, alongside Mayor of Warwick, Cllr Jackie D'Arcy.
