Staff were threatened with a knife when a Warwick shop was robbed earlier this May.

Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses to the incident on Emscote Road on 6 May.

At 8am a man in a balaclava entered the convenience store - which police have not named - and threatened a store worker with a knife.

After grabbing the till tray, he has then left the store, escaping over a nearby bridge towards Leamington Spa with around £300 worth of cash.

He was wearing a full balaclava, black jacket, grey jogging bottoms, grey trainers with black laces, and orange and black work gloves.

He was also carrying a black duffle bag.

"If you saw something around this time and area that could help with our investigations, contact us on 101 or through our web reporting tool citing Incident 109 of 6 May," police said.

"You can also make an anonymous report through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
