A Warwick restaurant has been nominated in a regional awards celebrating local hospitality businesses.

Tailors Restaurant has been shortlisted in the 'fine dining restaurant of the year' category at the Midlands Food, Drink & Hospitality Awards.

Now in its sixth year, the awards aim to "profile the best in the business, enhancing the region's reputation as a food, drink, and hospitality destination of choice both nationally and internationally".

Owned and run by chefs Dan Cavell and Mark Fry, Tailors occupies a former gentleman's tailors shop in Warwick's Market Place. 

The multi-award winning eatery specialises in classic dishes with a contemporary twist, using locally sourced and foraged ingredients.

Tailors has been nominated alongside nine other restaurants in the category, and is the only Warwickshire business to be nominated for the fine dining award.

The awards will now be decided by a public vote, and winners will be announced on Monday 10 July at The Eastside Rooms, Birmingham.

Organisers said: "The nomination process has been incredibly successful this year and we want to extend our sincere gratitude towards everyone that took a moment out of their day to nominate their favourite restaurants, bars, hotels and individuals dedicated to providing remarkable service within the food, drink & hospitality industry.

"It has not been easy for the shortlisting judges to select the finalists for this year's awards. The excitement for the awards has been tremendous and we look forward to celebrating with everyone.
