Warwick planning roundup: Village hall, A46 delays and police HQ
Here are the biggest planning stories from the last week in and around Warwick.
Village Hall
A bid to repurpose a village hall for commercial offices has been thrown out by district planners who said the scheme would come at the detriment of the local community.
Sherbourne Park Estate had applied for a change of use for Sherbourne Village Hall, saying the building has barely been used since last September.
The plans would not have seen any changes to the outside of the building, but would have seen some internal repairs carried out.

A46 Delays
Delays to the A46 Stoneleigh Junction works have been due to a "supply issue" - local Liberal Democrat councillors have revealed.
Locals have continued to ask questions over the apparent lack of progress on the £38 million project, which will eventually see a new roundabout, and bridge built at the site.
While the new bridge deck was installed at the end of January, it is yet to be connected to the new road layout as the land around it needs to be filled in.

Police HQ Plans
Councillors have unanimously stood by a decision to oppose plans for 83 homes near Warwickshire Police's headquarters in Leek Wootton – despite planning professionals having a change of heart.
Warwick District Council's planning committee discussed for almost two-and-a-half hours its response to a decision that it is powerless to take – applicant Cala Homes exercised its right to appeal to the Planning Inspectorate because the case was not resolved within 13 weeks and it will be dealt with via a planning inquiry.
The committee's position is the one that the council will take during the appeal.
